Padmini Narahari

LPC-Associate Supervised by Ana Murillo Herrera, LPC-S.

I believe that everyone deserves support and encouragement in life. Whether it is from family, friends, pets, or therapy, knowing that you are not alone is important. My goal is to create a safe space where you can explore your needs and work towards peace. In addition, treatment should be person centered meaning everyone is unique and has different needs.

A little about me is that I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelors in Psychology (2020) and from the University of Dayton with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2024).

I have experience working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment, and identity (spiritual, religious, cultural, professional, and personal) crises. My approach is to utilize evidence based treatments and skills from Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Acceptance Commitment therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, and Internal Family Systems Theory. I greatly believe in the power of mindfulness, meditation, nature, and breath work.

My passion is working with adolescents, young adults and those well into adulthood as I appreciate the hardships, challenges, and opportunities we face during this time. Our daily life tasks can become overwhelming, confusing, difficult, or even frustrating. Taking some time for ourselves to address and explore those feelings in a safe environment can open the door to experiences such as a difference in perspective or gaining valuable insights. In addition, those transitioning from student to working professional can have a difficult time adjusting to the changes of being a full time professional and I have found that sometimes we need extra support to build our confidence, set professional goals, explore feelings, and develop ourselves professionally.

I offer a compassionate ear, a safe place to explore feelings and a variety of skills/resources to work towards balance. Know that you are not alone and that you deserve support. There is always a way towards resiliency, balance, and peace.
